Other ACT committees and areas that we regularly look to fill and recruit volunteers for...

Public Relations Committee:

This fun group keeps us in the public’s eye. Are you creative? Do you enjoy writing or do you love to use social media?  Are you a wiz on Canva? This committee publishes our newsletter, runs our Facebook and Instagram pages as well as our website. They help promote all our events, write press releases, and design our brochures and other print material. We are in particular need for some folks to help our Web-Mistress with our Facebook, Instagram and other social media campaigns and help build out and maintain our website.

Trail Building (aka Trailblazers) Committee:

Would you like to design, build & maintain ACT's walking & mountain bike trails? Help explore and develop the best uses for our land? Do you like working with volunteers? Like to be outside, introducing nature to others in our community? This committee could be for you! It establishes our land management priorities, works with potential new landholdings and soon hope to begin nature education programs. We are always looking for folks who love our local woods and streams. Join our gang of construction workers, youths of all ages, educators, naturalists, ecologists, and folks who just like to work outside, maybe getting tired & sometimes dirty, building trails, bridges, picnic areas, and great experiences!

Our events are both for fundraising and friend-raising, including our Trailfest run, partnerships with the Trolley Museum and Arundel Historical  Society, our Annual Meeting, and lots of other ways to meet our community.  If you like to plan and host parties this is the committee for you.

Development Committee:

This is the group that helps "fund our future" by building relationships with our growing community of members, friends, business sponsors and charitable donors. We are looking for folks with grant writing experience or a talent for raising money for great charitable causes.

Finance Committee:

This committee keeps the books, helps develop budgets, produce monthly financials and works with our constituent data base system. If you have experience in any of these areas, we'd like to talk to you.

If you’d like to help but don’t see something here contact us for a conversation We have a place for everyone’s talents.
