What a weekend! Trail Fest 2025 was one for the books, a perfect blend of energy, community spirit, and outdoor adventure. The trails came alive with the sound of footsteps, laughter, and great music as friends, families, and runners from near and far came together to celebrate all that makes this event so special.

This year, we were thrilled to welcome a brand-new band, Billy Billy, to the lineup. From originals to classic covers, their music had everyone enjoying and hanging out long after their runs. We can’t wait to have them back next year!

Trail Fest wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our community. Twenty-four local businesses showed their dedication to conservation, connection and community by becoming sponsors, with Weirs GMC being our Title Sponsor.  We’re deeply grateful for their partnership.

Our youngest athletes also had their moment to shine in the Kids Fun Bike Race, which drew 15 enthusiastic riders! This free event is quickly becoming a family favorite. There’s nothing better than seeing kids race down the trail with huge smiles and proud parents cheering them on.

Over 45 volunteers and more than 25 local businesses and organizations ensured the event was a success! From helping with runner registration, parking, and shuttles, to guiding racers along the trails and handing out well-earned treats, documenting the event and keeping everyone safe, their hard work and positivity were the heartbeat of the day. A special thank you to all our community supporters including Dragonfly Blueberry Farm, RSU21 and Mildred L Day School, Arundel Municipal Building Staff, Arundel Historical Society, Arundel Parks and Recreation, Arundel EMS and Arundel Public Works.

The festivities tent was buzzing thanks to our volunteers and the delicious local offerings. Congdon’s donuts disappeared quickly, and Athletic Brewing and Banded Brewing kept everyone refreshed with Maine beer. The perfect post-run reward! We are grateful for all our eats and treats donors including McDougal Orchards, Gile's Family Farm and Hannaford.

We were also joined by our dedicated Board of Directors, who came out to support, cheer, and connect with the community that makes this event possible.

In total, 137 runners hit the trails for the 5K and 10K races, each one crossing the finish line with that signature Trail Fest grin. Whether they came for a personal best or just to enjoy the morning in nature, every participant added to the energy and excitement that makes this event such a highlight of the year.

Thank you to the runners, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters for making Trail Fest 2025 a huge success. Your enthusiasm and generosity help keep our trails open, our community connected, and our mission thriving.

Until next year, keep exploring, keep smiling, and we’ll see you out on the trails!
